I Don't Like Bad Weather!!

There is A LOT of bad weather coming through Alabama today and tonight, and unfortunately I have a fear of it. Now since I have been pregnant it hasn't been so bad. The hormones that I have running through my body have greatly helped my anxiety, and so I'm ok for now. I'm watching Jerry Tracey (since NBC is one of the 5 channels we can pick up with no cable), and so far the worst of the weather is in Tuscaloosa and where Mom is in Montgomery. Mo, of course, is at work until 10pm so I'm home alone...ugh. Luckily, our apartment is on the very bottom level so if any bad weather (tornado's) did head this way I think I'd be pretty safe (knock on wood).

Other than checking the weather every 5min lol, I have been cleaning. I think I may be having "nesting syndrome". I know the day for Shawn to be here is VERY soon. Last night I could not sleep and was up until 5am with severe stretching of my stomach and possibly a few scattered Braxton Hicks contractions. I did, however, get plenty of sleep since I finally fell asleep at 5:30am and woke up at 1:30pm.

I wanted to mention some upsetting news that I found out about 2 nights ago. I good friend of mine from Hoover High School, Ann Noble Carlton, passed away of heart failure. She always had problems with her heart, and she was a tremendous fighter. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and she will be greatly missed. Please keep her family in your prayers. It was a very untimely passing but at least Heaven has a beautiful new angel to celebrate about, our Nobel Ann!

  1. I don't think Nobel Ann is an angel. As I have posted on other's blogs (and I thought I didn't have to tell you this cause I thought we had already discussed it), God created angels as his and our servants. The angels are here on earth and in heaven to serve and help us. The heirarchy of heaven as I interpret the bible suggests to me we are on a higher level than the angels. I am so glad we have angels among us to protect and guide us, but I don't think we are angels.

Hope you are better about the weather.

Hope all the night-time pains cease and desist.

  2. I looked this up on the internet:

The most common misconception about angelic beings is that we become one when we die. Though it makes for a nice story, it is simply not true. There is nothing in the Bible to suggest that we become Angels when we die. The Bible tells us that God Created Angels as separate beings than humans. The Angels were created to serve God, and to serve Man.

  3. A controversial subject that I think I'll avoid, except to say that it's always sad when a young person passes away. I'm sure Ann's family is feeling the loss deeply.

Shay, your baby will probably be here before I get home from Arizona. We're going down on March 1 until the 10th. I can hardly wait. After spending January there, this extra 10 days is a real bonus...it's been so cold and snowy here lately.

  4. I figured I would post here as well for anyone who might feel, as Mom did, that I was trying to say that Ann "became" an angel...I just simply meant she was an "angel" to all of us and she will be always.
